2 Days!!

Till I leave for Utah! I am getting excited. Just wish my Hubby could join us. Even after 11 years of marriage I still miss him when we are apart. I am excited to see all of my family and to be able to go to the temple twice in one week!!! i am going to be staying at one of my dear friends house-Rochelle- on Sunday night. I can’t wait to see her and her dear family. I haven’t seen them since they moved from Louisiana. I am off to pack and get an Oil change-you know the whole shabang! The Elders are coming for dinner tomorrow and then we are going to spend a wonderful day as a family on Sat.  Looking forward to 48 hours…………

Roses and Our Garden

Well while Grant was away we were doing anything but playing. The kids and I planted about 90% of our Garden-It is about 75% bigger then our Garden in LA so we are very excited!!! All we have left is the melons. Here are some pics of the garden and also of my rose bushes. They are blooming right now. i told Grant this gives him no excuse not to give me floweres now.

Deep Sea Fishing

Grant went on Sat just off of Astoria out to the Pacific about 20-30 miles. He had a great time and was able to catch a Halibut. It was between 2 and 3 feet long. Here are some pics of him reeling it in-Also some views from the boat and the fish all cut up and ready to eat! Lucky for Grant he made it home just as I was picking up the babysitter. i was all decked out and ready to go on my own. We went to a little place on the water and then for a walk on the Marina and then to Indiana Jones new movie. It was a great night.

I resisted as long as I could………

That was the 2nd sentence out of Grants mouth earlier, only after “Your going to hate me.” Here I was preparing myself for something terrible……….Guess what Honey I am going Deep Sea Fishing tomorrow. Yes I can guess that he resisted for about a half a second. Grant was offered a Deep Sea Fishing trip on someone else’s dime. We have been planning to plant our garden tomorrow. I bought everything today and then we have a date night planned I even found a babysitter. But how often can he go Deep Sea fishing?  As we know every man needs a fish story to tell. So tomorrow Bella and I will be planting the garden and if he is not home in time then I will be going on the date with…………myself!!!!!!

Bella-Jax-Sophia all loved the sun and the water-Roman had a different opinion-Everytime he felt the sand or felt the Sun this video shows his reaction. I guess he is a snow boy at heart.

Clothing Optional?

Yes that is what I thought. We went to a place called Sauvie Island it is a little place about 35 minutes from our house. One of our friends had told me about this family beach they had and we went looking for it. You know to cool off in our 100 degree weather. Well we couldn’t really find it and then the paved road ended and there were all these signs Collins Beach-Clothing Optional- I couldn’t believe it!!! I thought they only had those kind of beaches in other Countries. Needless to say we turned around and found another beach were you had to go up about 10 steps to reach the top well when you got to the top there was no stairs down just a steep walk way. So there I am carrying Roman and 2 bags following this little path and BAM!!! Right on my Behind!! Which is now bruised by the way- Well Grant rushed over and helped my red face up and we had a picnic and the kids played in the water. I will post pics and video later. Just so you know My face was not the only one red-while we were there at least 5 other people fell on their behinds and shared in my red face!!!!

Warning Rant! Paint-4 kids-Upacking and 100 Degree Weather

This time I am soooooo not kidding. We actually hit 100 degrees today. With no A/C our house has hit 90 degrees as of now. The kids are camped outside in the mini pool and I decided in between boxes that it would be a good idea to paint our upstairs hallway-Yah I know what was I thinking? I don’t remember being this HOTTTTT!!!! We actually went for a drive just to cool off for a few minutes. I have been unpacking and getting closer to being all set up. My goal is to have everything done before we head to Utah and that is just 17 days away. So I am warning my Utah family now. Watch out were coming so turn up the A/C and be ready to be invaded!!!!!!!

1000 Degrees!!!!!!!

Ok so not quite that hot! But when you have no air conditioner it certainly feels like it. I have never heard of no air conditioning in my life first with Utah and then with Louisiana forget about it. Well up here out of all the people I have met only 2 have air conditioning. Yesterday it hit almost 90 degress. I have decided that I like the cold better. At least you can add more layers, when your hot theres only so much you can take off. So if anyone cares to feel my pain send some ice my way!
