Fall decoratingaholic. I was at the store and they have already started in with Halloween and fall decor-so it gets me thinking? Is it to early to decorate for fall-for those who know me I love fall and all it brings, with the weather in the 50’s it feels like fall already. So whats the harm with a scarecrow or two?

Gotta love him! He got into the choclate chips and then decided to use the bucket as his coloring book- All I can say is good thing he is sooooo cute!

Homemade bread anyone?

First I ground the wheat, then I mixed the dough, then I raised the dough, then I cooked the bread! I have to say it looks really yummy and smells even better-so anyone up for fresh bread and honey?

Salsa! Salsa! and more Salsa!!!!

Well yesterday I canned 34 pints of salsa! 50 pds of tomatos! One of my friends came over and helped. We had a great time. I paid her in salsa-she approved! The salsa turned out great! In fact we ended up with only 33 because we couldn’t resist. Now if I can just keep myself from giving it all away it should last awhile. So anyone what to come over for chips and salsa?

The Great Hunter!!!

My Dad and SMom just got back from a trip of a lifetime to Africa!! They had a great time and my dad being the hunter he is went on Safari-We are so glad they had a great time and made it home safely!!

Could you turn on the heat please?

Yes I know it sound crazy!!! We hit 63 degrees as our High yesterday and we are just about that today-The kids are all wrapped in blankets and wearing winter clothes. I have been looking at the heat all day wondering if I should turn it on for awhile. Then i think to myself its middle of July-what am I thinking?

2nd Trimester!!!!

WhooHooo!!!! I am officially in my second trimester!!! I am so happy-it is such a relief-after losing so many I love to celebrate all the milestones.

I will be celebrating this weekend with 50 pds of tomatos!! I am going to be canning salsa and tomatos. Yes I know what am I thinking? Lets see for about $50 I can, can enough salsa and tomatos that would have cost me $150 or more to buy! I will take pics and post when were done!!!

How do you cut costs?

As you all have noticed life is getting really expensive!!! So share with me how are you cutting costs at your house? I know I try to do all my errands on the days Sophia has speech and eating out? what is that-we are using our food storage-only turning power on when we absolutely need it-No extras-just the necessities-For the kids entertainment we go to the library at least every other week-So share what are you doing?
