Coos Bay

Sat we went to Coos Bay OR- It was such a fun day- we saw a island with hundreds of seals-crazy. The kids loved it. We came home early because Isabella went to her first boy/girl dance. Yes I know it should be against the law but she looked beautiful and danced with 4 boys. I still need their names and numbers :(

This week is filled to the brim with appt’s. Doctors, dentist and orthodontist. But on a happy note i finally was able to send in the information for my cover art to begin on my book. I should know my release date soon-can’t wait!

Happy Birthday Isabella

Wow! I can’t believe that your 14! I still remember the moment I first saw you. We are so blessed to have you in our family. You are smart, caring, strong, talented, beautiful on the outside and on the inside. I know that Heavenly Father has great plans for you. We love you!

Easter Weekend

We had a great time this weekend! We had our first ever overnight guests. We have only had our family show visit us. We had the Medinas some of our dear friends from St. Helens for the weekend. It was so much fun. i felt like I was on vacation! We can’t wait until the next visit.

There will be more pics to come when my computer hates me less.

More of the White Stuff

The last two days have been crazy. We received over 9 inches of snow. Followed by no power and no water. Makes me grateful that we have been preparing for emergencies. The kids have been having a blast.-minus the no tv.

There are also some pics of Romans’ Birthday and us bowling last Saturday.

Happy Birthday Roman!

Today is Roman’s 6th Birthday!

Here are some facts about the birthday boy

1-He was born in Lake Charles Louisiana.

2-He was born at 35 weeks. He wasn’t even patient back then.

3-He loves Superhero’s. He is obsessed with Star Wars right now. He loves anything LEGO.

4-He is super loving.

5-He is a funny, funny kid.
He is constantly cracking jokes.

6-He loves his brother and sisters. He would rather spend time with them than any other kids.

We Love you Roman!!!!

Extra pics

For some reason these didn’t load- after we cut Ava’s hair to make it not a mullet-she posed in the bars of the banister-Sophia thought it looked like she was in jail so she made a sign- too cute-

The good, the bad and the beautiful.

To say that the past 9 days have been busy would be the understatement of a lifetime. Last Friday DHS showed up with 3 darling children that had been taken into Shelter care. We were to keep them for the weekend. A 10 yr old girl, and her 4 yr old twin brothers.

I had them for about 8 hours when it was apparent that the boys needed to be in a different home. They kept hurting Ava. Not on purpose but they are just out of control and have had little parenting on coping with their activity. A girl we knew from taking the foster classes ended up taking them. We are in the same town and can visit often. We still have their sister-Sky she is a beautiful young lady. She is the oldest out of 6 and has played mom a lot. She is doing really well here. We are not sure if she will be placed with family or stay with us-right now we are just enjoying her in our family. PS- I have permission to share her photo on this blog.

The day after the boys left Ava decided that she needed a haircut. So she climbed the cabinets and found the scissors and cut her hair. She went from looking like Boo on Monsters Inc. to the Girl with the dragon tattoo. I was traumatized. We had to cut alot off just to make it even. She basically cut all the front off-no mullets for my cute girl! So now she is more Tinkerbell.

We have gotten to spend a lot of time as a family the past few weeks. It has been wonderful. Sat=we went for a drive over to one of Grants tree farms. It was neat to see where he goes. Sorry for the picture overload but i hope you enjoy-
Also i finished writing my second book today!!!! Hora! Now I just need time to edit, edit, edit!

Snow day at the Zoo

We had heard that there was a big snow storm coming in last night- Grant went in to work at 2 am this morning to check on the roads- when we awoke it was a winter wonderland. The kids have had a blast and ended up no school for them-it has been nice going no where and just enjoying our home. Hope you enjoy the pics!

More fun

Here are some more pics of our home- we also went bowling today- it was a great day! hope you enjoy~!
