Today just like every other day!- I am thankful for my Mom!!

She is such an amazing woman. She is always there when i need her and even when i don’t. It’s true when you’re a kid you never really appreciate your parents and until i had my kids i never understood all the sacrifices she made for me. Thank you Mom for all you do and have done. I have this little joke i will call her on a especially bad day and thank her for letting me live this long because some days i don’t know who she did.

So thanks mom for letting me live this long and thanks for laughing with me more than you laugh at me.

Today i am thankful for my boys!

This morning while taking Bella to school she pointed to a boy “See that boy mom? yesterday he came up to me and said “Hey Sweetie.” and then i turned and ran.

I tell you i will be glad when it’s the other girls mom worried about my boys.

I am trying to turn a negative into a positive tonight-

One of the reasons i feel in love with my hubby is because of his work ethic-he is one of the most hard working men i know- he works crazy hours so that i am lucky enough to say home and raise our kids-for that i will be forever grateful.

It’s hard to be thankful during times like this-all the kids are in bed and my hubby is still hard at work-we all miss him- I pray things calm down so we can have some family time.

Today i am thankful for all the missionaires of the world- for all their sacrifies so that the gospel can make it to those waiting for it.

Tonight we are having dinner at our house with one of our favorite missionaires from Oregon- Elder Neilson!! Him and his mom are in town for business and we are lucky enough to spend some time with them-

We also are going to get to see Elder Snow-he is from our hometown and just returned from his mission-

We have been so lucky to have their spirits bless our home!!!

Yes today i am thankful for my HOPIE!!! Yes she belongs to me!!!

Today is her birthday the big 33!! Yes she is a young-un- She brings so much to my life! I like to say she is my sister-from-another-mister- and she is my sister in everyway that counts- when i think back thru the past years she has been one of the first if not the first i called in good times and bad- we have laughed and cried together! I am so blessed to have her in my life.

In 10 days she will be the one i am hugging, crying and squealing with when we see New Moon at the midnight showing-i know what your thinking- Holly stay up past 9? When i have Hopie who needs caffine?

SOOO Thankful for baby loves and kisses- not to mention baby giggles!!!

Today i am thankful to live in Utah once again.

Last night i spent time with my Grandma and my sister Tiffany and her beautiful family. I am getting to know my newest addition of a brother to the family-Brian! I love to see how happy he makes my sister- also i am seeing my nieces grow taller and cuter by the day.

i have been so inspired living around the red rocks again-i even wrote a book! who would have thought?

I am savoring every moment with my family-i will never take them for granted.

Every time we come down off the hill this is the view we see

i am so thankful to be so close to the temple-it is such a blessing in our lives.

I have been feeling really negative lately-and my blog is reflecting it. So after church on Sunday where everyone was talking about counting our blessings and my friends posting what they are grateful for i decided to try and post one a day-

So what am i most grateful for?

MY FAMILY!!!!!!

I love that even after 13 years that i want to kiss my hubby!!!!

I love that my 11 year old still wants to hang out with her mom.

i love tht my 9 year old will come up and want to snuggle with his mom.

I love that my 5 year old tells me that i am the bestest mom ever and she really means it!

i love that my 3 year old gives me big kisses and tells me he loves me for no reason!

I love that my 10 month old smiles from ear to ear when she sees me-like i am the only person in the world!

Ok- First let me say that i am incredibly grateful that Grant had a job-I know what it’s like when there is no job so yes i am grateful!-

Last week Grant worked over 100 hours- he missed all the halloween festivites-missed seeing Ava on her first holiday-or even in her costume-thank heaven for pictures.- Sunday has come to be the only day we have as a family, and yesterday as we were walking out of the house to walk to church? he gets called in- so it was me and 5 kids by myself. hate it!

What’s my point? I like my husband and would like to see more of him-thanks for listening.

There are times in all our lifes that we experience true heartache. As most of you know that even though i have been blessed with 5 wonderful children I have also lost 5. Going thru a miscarraige is one of the most difficult things a person can go thru. This past week one of my dearest friends, actually she is more of a sister to me, lost a baby. Right now she is hurting in everyway possible. I know from experience that anything i say won’t matter it won’t take the pain away. But i want her to know i love her and my heartaches for her and her beautiful family.

So hug your kids and be grateful for the messy floors and the chaos. I know i am.
